Students are encouraged to explore all options that may be available to cover the cost of tuition as they advance their education and achieve their life goals. Financial Aid Office personnel work with students to determine their eligibility for the various loans, grants and scholarships that exist. Other options may include personal education loans, payment plans, tuition reimbursement through an employer, GI Bill, the Veterans education benefits, or the State Department of Labor tuition program. Students must submit financial information regarding themselves and their family to the Financial Aid Office. Schools hold each student`s information in strictest confidence and share only on a need-to-know basis with funding agencies.

There can be variations of the Medical Assistant program. A Medical Assistant Administration program averages about 50 hours of study at a cost of about $1000. Studies focus on clerical and administrative office activities. There are no special certifications.

The Medical Assistant program may offer certifications in Phlebotomy and EKG. The student averages about 20 weeks of study at a cost of about $4000. The added value of this program is reflected in the job marketplace. Salaries of Medical Assistants with special certifications command a 25% to 30% increase over the Administrative Medical Assistant.

Special attention should be given to each school`s refund policy and terms of cancellation prior to enrollment. There are specific rules and procedures that must be followed. Timing is critical. Keep in mind,it may not only be the education program that you cancel, but also the loan, grant or scholarship that funded the program.
